Why Meghan Markle's Self-Entitlement Will Be Harry's Undoing
Just My OPINION
If there were any time that the world could tell Prince Harry, “We told you so,” it would be now. The recent announcement that they have two new Netflix projects, allegedly both executive produced by Meghan and one by Harry, shows that Markle believes in her head that she is the one with the star power, not her husband, who has been world-famous since the day his mother’s second pregnancy was announced.
Meghan believes that because she has “experience” in Hollywood, she is better equipped for it and knows all the ins and outs. The truth is, she doesn’t understand any of it. She was on one measly show that very few people watched when it originally aired.
The Suits resurgence wasn’t solely because of Meghan. She believes that the show revolves around her. According to people who have watched it, she was barely a blip on the radar unless she was having sex with Mike Ross, á là the famous file room scene.
Tom Bower’s book, Revenge, highlights that when Suits got renewed and more well-known, Meghan’s ego grew to the point she acted like a stereotypical celebrity from the 90s and early 2000s when celebrities did have to hide behind disguises like baseball caps to escape the paparazzi.
Meghan’s mind lives in that period. It is mentioned in Revenge that she was scared of being noticed whenever she went out with friends. She told Harry. Being a gullible idiot, he thought she was a big star. For additional depth, she claimed that Suits were a big deal when only people who had USA Network would’ve known about it.
As someone who used to walk past a DVD store regularly, which used to have DVD boxsets on display out the front of the store on a table, I knew of the show, but I had no idea what it was about. Nor did I care.
